, ,Founded in 1953, Aerosonic has grown to be a leader in aviation instrumentation and avionics equipment – including air data systems, standby displays, digital and mechanical standby instruments, sensors and probes. Our customers include the major manufacturers of today’s civil, military and business fixed wing and rotorcraft platforms as well as all branches of the US military forces. We are currently seeking an on-site Repair Station Supervisor for our Clearwater, FL facility. We do not offer hybrid or remote work and all employees must be a U.S. Person.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Repair Station Supervisor is the point of contact for the FAA and managing the repair station department.
Duties:
- Lead, motivate and manage the repairs department team
- Set clear performance expectations and ensure accountability
- Maintain all shop equipment/tools and Inspection Stamp Control log and Inspection Roster
- Act of behalf of the repair station matters described in civil aviation regulations, including 14 CFR Part 145
- Investigate disparities and issue corrective actions based on validity, and identifying OEM or DS4R139M
- Point of contact for all repair station matters, maintain FAA regulations, audits, specifications and FAA/EASA airworthiness directives
- Identify and implement cost savings and productivity improvements
- Ensure department has all resources available to provide adequate housing, facilities, equipment, material, maintenance data and qualified personnel to fulfill regulatory obligations and customer requirements
Qualifications:
- Business or Engineering Degree
- Qualified per 14 CFR 145.153, 145.155 and 145.15 Required
- Strong production planning experience
- Two+ years experience in manufacturing operations
- Manufacturing supervisory experience - strong leadership skillset
- Advanced computer skills - proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook), MRP systems
- Ability to effectively communicate and be a team player
